Weddings

I’m less a fan of posing and more a fan of fun when it comes to weddings.  If you just look for those moments they are there to be captured and the day in its entirety can be expressed through a series of impromptu images and a handful of well chosen portrait shots.  I like to think of myself as a reportage photographer, able to document your day without too much interference!  Photographing people is a passion and I like to approach each wedding in a friendly way, organising things so they are best suited to your day and by getting in your way as little as possible.  Those couples I meet as strangers, more often than not, leave as friends and I welcome sustained contact after the event to ensure you get the most from your photographs.

The albums below are just a brief snapshot in to the day of each couple and not the album as a whole so they are accompanied by a few examples of the books I build as part of my wedding service.  These books are a fine example of how my reportage style captures even the smallest details that sometimes get overlooked.  They are made with you in mind and catered to each couple and the style of their day individually.  Some even include covers of my own design and can be incorporated should you so wish.

Packages start from as little as £350 and EVERY couple will receive ALL their images on disc to print and share as you see fit. I do not hold the rights to your day.  My attendance and post editing work is included in the price I quote you, the only possible addition is I can also build you a story book depicting every part of your day.  I can now also offer a private on line album that you can forward, along with a password, to your guests so that they too can share in your memories.

I am based in Leicestershire but will travel to where ever I am needed.  If you like what you see and are interested in hiring me for your wedding please contact me via email, info@doitmomma.co.uk for more information and competitive rates.

I feel naked without my camera and will be carrying my snapshot digital if the day doesn’t call for a full on SLR.  With that in mind I have managed to capture some striking scenic images and show a few here.  I spent five months in Italy and was blessed with the scenery but closer to home holds little gems of it’s own and I not only got three of my photographs in to the Rutland Photographer of the Year book, published in May 2011, I also recently had a photograph on the cover of Rutland Living for their February 2012 issue.

The human face and it’s spectrum of characteristics is one of my favourite things to capture which goes a long way to explaining my love of wedding photography.  People are simply fascinating and so expressive…especially when they aren’t trying to pose.
