My name is Lizzie, and I’m a ‘yes’ girl. If I’m honest, I want to DO IT all and that is what Do it Momma is all about. I make a living out of the things I love and I want you to love them too. The main focus of this website is photography, textiles and food yet I hope to build a creative outlet that will lead to other things and spark the imaginations of many.
I love the opportunity to try different things… I read, write, sew, blog, photograph, pose in my smalls, volunteer, travel, eat, laugh, cook and drink too much wine, mostly red. I have a good eye behind the camer and really good hair…it’s true.
This website contains various sub headings under the DO IT MOMMA umbrella for you to explore;
‘SHOOT IT’ – First and foremost this is the showcase for my relaxed and fun wedding photography portfolio, a flattering alternative to those staged and sometimes static declarations of love that never quite capture people at ease. I bloody love weddings, I hope you can see that through my portrayal of them. However, like all photographers I have my camera with me most of the time so you’ll find more to see on this page than just beautiful weddings… My photography was published in the ‘Rutland Photographer of the Year’ book in 2011 as well as gracing the cover of ‘Rutland Living’ in February of 2012. With a varied portfolio this page is added to regularly with new and exciting imagery so come back every now and then to see what has changed.
‘MADE IT’ – A deep rooted passion stemming right from receiving my first sewing kit at the age of five from my dear Grandmother who kick started my creativity and a love of making things. Today, I hope to create something unique, but something that ultimately you want. Lets make it together, my creations are entirely bespoke and completely personalised, there are no rules. This departmental slogan will read “Can’t see it in stores? Ask me, if I can, I’ll do it.”
‘READ IT’ – This here is my blog and a showcase for any new creations, techniques or general thoughts and anecdotes that I feel inclined to share. It may also be the format for glimpses in to the book I one day hope to complete, yet please be patient with me…it isn’t easy doing everything you know!
‘EAT IT’ – A recipe hub where people can share their love of food, pick up new ideas and generally enjoy our daily bread. It won’t be fancy, far from it, in fact it will be messy and pleasurable with a mission statement that reads “do it then eat it and be sure to enjoy it’.
‘BUY IT’ – Speaks for itself really, I have to try and sell you something!
As for MOMMA? She is everyone’s inspiration and the love of my life.
