Another beautiful baby born and another bespoke quilt made just for them. Sophie Lily was born in January and her mom contacted me to create a quilt similar to the pink poppy one I created last year. The patchwork remains a mix of plain block colours and the lettering and applique is a mix bag of pinks and prints.
As I always like to make every quilt different I played around with this one a little in that the pinks darken towards the center and I added Sophie Lily’s date of birth and weight on to the lilac hearts at the top. A nice little change to the personalisation which normally goes in one of the patchwork squares.
I think it looks a little like a quilt version of a packet of Lovehearts. Good enough to eat!
